Job Description:
Housing Development Services, Inc. (HDSW) seeks a strategic and
experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial
operations and contribute to the financial healing and growth of
communities through innovative housing solutions. The CFO will
oversee all financial aspects of the organization, aligning them
with our strategic vision of neighborhood revitalization and
support services. This role involves collaboration with senior
management to craft financial strategies that further HDSW’s
mission. Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital,
facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources;
and developing action plans. Monitor financial performance by
measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and
minimizing the impact of variances. Report financial status by
developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and
developing improvements. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and
local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation,
anticipating future legislation, and enforcing adherence to
requirements. Develop organization prospects by studying economic
trends and revenue opportunities, projecting acquisition and
expansion prospects, analyzing organization operations, identifying
opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems
enhancement. Manage budget and control expenses effectively. Hire,
train and retain skilled finance staff. Strong analytical skills
and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational
model. An effective communicator, with strong oral and written
skills. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and
achieving results. Knowledge of accounting, finance, and budgeting
principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to
analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements,
and projections. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
