  • Continuously review and revise the curriculum to ensure alignment with the NJ Student Learning Standards, and addresses grade-level standards in physical fitness
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that provide individualized and group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
  • Instruct students on the basic techniques needed to play team sports and other recreational activities
  • Discuss the importance of living a healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity
  • Monitor and document student participation and progressQualifications:New Jersey Certified Teacher of Health and Physical Education required.Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods in sports skills and appropriate developmental instructional and group management procedures.Strong team-building skills, and interpersonal and communication skills.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
