  • Job Details
  • Facility in southern CT is looking experienced ER RN's for an ASAP start.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience, previous travel experience, and EPIC.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience.
    • Previous travel experience preferred.
    • Experience with EPIC required.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts 7am start time.
      • Every other weekend requirement.
      • Holidays rotate in with the permanent staff. Must be flexible.
      • Shifts are from 7p-7a.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: ER- Main 18000.
        • Number of beds/trauma bays: 30.
        • Psych/seclusion rooms: 6 locked bed.
        • Expected patient ratios: Nurse 1:4-5, Float Nurse from 11am-11pm, Float PCT 11am-11pm.
        • Cerner Epic conversion by Feb 2020.
        • Charge Nurse present 24/7, does not take patients.
        • Nurse Aides/Paramedics: PCT 1:10 performing all CAN type tasks including phlebotomy, BGM, and ECG's.
        • Security/Patient sitters based outside the ER.
        • Tele/Monitor Techs: Nurses must be able to read and interpret strips.
        • Vents available are Bipap, Vents and high flow O2.
        • ED Physicians/Mid-Levels present Both 24/7.
        • IV Team available, must try first.
        • RT 24/7.
        • Pharmacy 24/7.
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Full service ED level of care. Not a designated trauma center. Pediatric and behavioral health. Must be able to titrate sedation to RASS score. Titration of vasopressors/hemodynamic meds is required.

          • Minimum BLS and ACLS, prefer TNCC, ENPC, MOAB.
          • Scrub Color: Caribbean blue; may wear black and white shirts under uniform, top layer must be uniform color, pants may be black or Caribbean blue.
