  • Facility in southern CT is looking experienced ER RN's for an ASAP start.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience, previous travel experience, and EPIC.

      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts 7am start time
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other
      • Holidays: Rotate in with the permanent staff. Must be flexible
      • Shifts: 12 hour shifts 7am start time
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: ER- Main 18000
        • # beds/trauma bays: 30
        • # Psych/seclusion rooms: 6 Locked Bed
        • Certs: Minimum BLS and ACLS Prefer TNCC, ENPC, MOAB
        • Ratios: Nurse 1:4-5Float Nurse from 11am-11pm, Float PCT 11am-11pm
        • EMR: Cerner Epic conversion by Feb 2020
        • Charge Nurse: Yes 24/7- does not take patients
        • Nurse Aides/Paramedics: PCT 1:10 They perform all CAN type tasks and do phlebotomy, BGM and ECG's
        • Security/Patient sitters: Yes based outside the ER
        • Tele/Monitor Techs: All rooms have Phillips intelevue. Nurses must be able to read and interpret strips. No monitor techs
        • Vents: Bipap, Vents and high flow O2
        • ED Physicians/Mid-Levels: Both 24/7
        • Lab Draws:
        • IV Team: Yes 7am-8:30pm Must try first. Nurse Resource available 24/7 available for IV help 7pm-7am
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Full service ED level of care. Not a designated trauma center. Pediatric and behavioral health. Must be able to titrate sedation to RASS score. Titration of vasopressors/hemodynamic meds is required.

          • Scrub Color: Caribbean blue, able to wear black and white shirts under uniform, top layer must be uniform color, pants may be black or Caribbean blue.
