Job Description:
Are you an empathetic and compassionate caregiver, who takes
pride in helping people lead more independent lives? Our busy home
health agency is seeking an experienced home health aide to assist
our case managers in implementing patient-specific care plans.
You'll give our patients companionship and help with basic medical
care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks
so that they are empowered to live happily at home. You must have
1-3 years of experience as an HHA or caregiver and possess
excellent communication skills. If you enjoy a position that is

Responsibilities:
--- Reinforce accurate and up-to-date care records and work with
the case manager to implement the patient care plan
--- Enable patients to complete personal hygiene tasks like
bathing, toileting, shaving, grooming, dressing, etc.
--- Help patients accomplish personal care tasks like scheduling
appointments, calling doctors' offices, and coordinating Medicare
and other insurance details
--- Complete basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs,
measuring glucose and ketone levels, replacing bandages and
dressings, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices
--- Perform light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to
bed making, laundry, vacuuming, etc.
Qualifications:
--- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, you may be required to stoop,
bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed
--- Empathetic, compassionate, and kind personality with excellent
organization and communication skills are desired
--- Carry a valid state driver's license, current auto insurance,
and have reliable transportation
--- First aid training and current CPR certification is needed and
you must be able to pass a drug test, full employment background
check, and physical
--- Completion of home health aide training programs from community
colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or
Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a plus
--- You must be authorized to work in the United States and live
within commuting distance of West Orange, NJ to be considered for
this position.
