Overview Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a two (2) Anesthesiologists to the Anesthesiology department at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County department of Anesthesia handles over 5500 cases annualy and averages about 480 cases per month as a Trauma 1 Center. There are two types of calls: OR and OB call. Both are 24 hour calls weekdays 7a-7p and weekends 8a-8p. Calls average about 3-4 per month. We do have flexibility to accommodate more or less calls per month. We also try to accommodate based on preference and experience. Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required. Opportunity Details

• Anesthetic management for patients requiring surgical procedures in the Operating Room and/or Obstetrical area.
• Supervision of CRNA staff, resident, medical student and student nurse anesthetists in the clinical area.
• Ongoing participation in the departmental Quality Assurance program.
• Membership in appropriate committees, as requested by the Chief of Service and/or Chairperson.
• Clinical resource for all levels of trainees.
• Participation in the didactic portion of resident, student nurse anesthetist and medical students' educational programs.
• Time not spent in direct patient care will be devoted to appropriate administrative, educational and/or research activities.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education programs to maintain and upgrade skills.
• Demonstrate an awareness of the Organization's safety plan and demonstrate proficiency in each skill. Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
  • Completed residency training in an accredited program within Anesthesiology
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York
  • Must be board-eligible or board-certified in AnesthesiologyExceptional Benefits Include:

    • Annual Base Salary is $390,000-$400,000 and additional rate for any hours worked outside of the 40 per week.
