Overview Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Neurologist - Adult Neuro-Hospitalist to the group at Kings County Hospital. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital is academically affiliated with SUNY Downstate Medical Center in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery. HH Kings County has recently opened a Neuroscience Center and offers state of the art care for: Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neuroimmunology including Multiple Sclerosis, and Stroke. In addition, we have expert Neurosurgical Services, Neuro Critical Care, Interventional Neuroradiology, Neuroradiology, and Neuro Rehabilitation. Our Stroke Center is accredited as Thrombectomy Capable by The Joint Commission. Our Epilepsy Center has achieved Level 2 accreditation by National Association for Accredited Epilepsy Centers criteria. Kings County runs EEG and EMG Laboratories and offers the ketogenic diet. Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required. Opportunity Details Purpose of position: To provide expert neurology care to patients at H+H Kings county on the General Neurology inpatient and outpatient services as an Adult Neurohospitalist.

• Evaluate and manage patients on the General Neurology Inpatient Service including consultations and admissions.
• Attend in General Neurology Outpatient Practice while not on the inpatient service.
• Supervise and teach Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows. Participate in the educational activities of the Neurology Service.
• Participate in the quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities of the Neurology Service.
• Attend and participate in Neurology Service Faculty meetings.
• EEG reading a plus but not required. Qualifications
  • Current licensed NYS registration certificate
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Adult Neurology
  • Completion of Adult Neurology Residency Preferred: Two years of clinical experience preferred Benefits include:
