Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Coder III ProFee specializing
in Emergency Medicine.
Key Responsibilities
Extract and accurately apply diagnosis and modifiers for coding
Communicate regularly with clinic staff to ensure compliant
coding
Work on insurance denials and collaborate with the Accounts
Receivable Team
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional coding experience in a large academic
medical setting
Experience in coding Emergency Medicine, Radiology, and
Internal/Family Medicine
Active AAPC COC, CPC or AHIMA CCS certification at the time of
hire
Proficient in EPIC, Cerner, Microsoft Office, and TEAMS
Recent experience in an active coding production environment is
preferred
