Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Emergency Medicine Discipline: Physician Assistant Duration: Ongoing Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, flexible Employment Type: Per Diem Practice Setting: ED Percentage of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 15% Percentage of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital Per Day: 15% Percentage of ED Patients Transferred Per Day: minimal maybe 1-2 pt per day maybe Total Number of Beds: 44 beds Number of ED Physicians in Group: 2 docs always present on each shift// 11 physicians in group currently Fast Track in ED? Yes Fast Track Staffed by APP Percent of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track: 40% Documentation System/EMR: Epic Trauma Level/Designation: none Are Deliveries Received in ED or Sent Directly to Labor & Delivery? L&D Will APP be Working Autonomously? Yes Supervising Physician Present During Assignment?: Yes 24-Hour Availability for Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray)? Yes 24 Hour Availability for Laboratory? Yes 24-Hour Availability for the OR? Yes 24-Hour Availability for Anesthesia? Yes Blood Bank - Certified by AABB?
