the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified OR RN in Passaic, New Jersey, 07055! Job Title: RN
Surgery Profession: RN Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 AM - 03:00 PM)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current and valid state RN
License Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and
maintain current. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days
upon hire and maintain current. Current PALS (AHA) certificate
within 30 days upon hire and maintain current. Must-Have: Minimum
of one year previous perioperative experience or on-the-job
training. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) certification preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Pre/Post Op
experience. Description: RN OR with cardiac experience needed for
8-hour shifts. Must be able to take call; call is required. Every
employee is required to take call. Minimum call is 1 time per week
for the weekday from 11 PM to 7 AM. Maximum of 2 calls per week is
permitted. Every 5th weekend, the call will be required for 24
hours each day on Saturday and Sunday. Call may change based on
unforeseen circumstances. Every RN has the obligation to come in
within 30 minutes if called in. Call is taken from home through
personal cell phone; the RN is not required to be on-site. The
Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the
Director of Surgical Services. Responsible for the delivery of
direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation for patients of all ages.
Coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and
anesthesiologist. Directs and guides the OR Technician and other
personnel. Maintains standards of professional nursing. Works with
other departments to provide a continuum of care. Responsible for
adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies
and procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities,
unit meetings, and in-services. Acts as a resource for other
