Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system, is seeking a
dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse III to join our innovative
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In this critical role, you will
be entrusted with the care of patients recovering from anesthesia
post-surgery. As an integral member of our team, you will leverage
your specialized knowledge and skills to ensure optimal patient
outcomes and uphold our commitment to excellence in patient care,
education, and research. Monitor patients' vital signs and levels
of consciousness to effectively assess post-operative recovery from
anesthesia. Administer prescribed medications and interventions and
evaluate patient responses. Collaborate with anesthesiologists,
surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient
care plans. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure
care and recovery expectations. Maintain accurate and detailed
patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in continuous education to improve patient care and
support research initiatives. Advanced knowledge of post-anesthesia
care procedures and protocols. Strong analytical skills to assess
patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with
patients, families, and healthcare teams. Proficiency in using
medical software for patient data documentation. Medical Insurance

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Certified
Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) or willing to obtain within 1 year of
hire.
