Census: 21 Float Requirement: May float to Mount Sinai Hospital and/or Mount Sinai West if needed Job Summary Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation to provide comprehensive patient-centered care within a specialized rehab unit. The RN will manage complex patient populations including spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), while ensuring clinical excellence, safety, and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices. Key Responsibilities /t - /t Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices /t /t - /t Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans /t /t - /t Provide care for patients with spinal cord injuries, TBIs, and complex rehabilitation needs /t /t - /t Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and discharge planning /t /t - /t Educate patients and families on disease management, recovery goals, and transition of care /t /t - /t Maintain therapeutic communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams /t /t - /t Perform purposeful rounding, patient education, and discharge planning /t /t - /t Document accurately in Epic EMR and comply with regulatory standards /t /t - /t Promote patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives /t /t - /t Participate in charge nurse duties and support unit operations as assigned /t Required Qualifications & Skills /t - /t Active New York State RN License /t /t - /t BLS Certification (AHA) /t /t - /t Minimum 2 years RN experience /t /t - /t Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation and mechanical ventilation experience /t /t - /t Experience with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injury patients /t /t - /t Epic EMR experience highly preferred /t /t - /t Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills /t Education /t - /t Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred /t HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31882434.
