114 5th Ave (22114), United States of America, New York, New YorkSenior Software Engineer, Bank TechA Profile application support engineer within our Retail Bank Technology requires the design, coding, and testing of software projects, with a special focus on the underlying architecture of systems and integration between them. Additionally, this individual is expected to lead projects and project teams, mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices. We hire engineers that have both systems, Profile application, and software backgrounds. Duties include development in one or more of the following technologies and practices: 24x7 application support, Linux system administration, bash, resiliency and automation, Mumps, Profile Scripting Language (PSL), SQL. -Essential Functions: - Maintain the cloud infrastructure and related services of the Profile application - Build automation and monitoring solutions - - Utilize programming languages like Python, C, Shell Programming, CHEF, Terraform, NoSQL databases, and a variety of AWS tools and services - - Work with the Engineering Team Leader and business owners to refine and clarify project requirements. - Participate in 24x7 support of the Profile application - Ensure that all code retains logical stability, reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of Capital One systems is in accordance with Capital One policies, procedures and guidelines. - Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challengesBasic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
• At least 1 year of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• At least 1 year of Unix or Linux system administration experience -Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience supporting 24x7 enterprise applications such as financial products
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • 2+ years working in a Profile application environment
  • 2+ years of experience in shell scripting
  • Ability to debug, optimize code and automate routine tasks

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $165,100 - $188,500 for Senior Software EngineerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
