Morristown, NJ About the Job The Director, Market Access
Contracting reports to the Head of Market Access Contracting. This
individual will oversee a team that negotiates and manages market
access contracts with Payer, PBM, and GPO customers, spanning both
Specialty Care and General Medicines business units. This
individual will collaborate with internal teams including Market
Access Shared Services, Account Management, Brand, Value & Access,
and Market Access Legal to mitigate financial risks and drive brand
objectives through strategic contract management. This role
requires independent decision-making and the ability to navigate
complex contract challenges from customers and stakeholders within
the pharma value chain. Further, this talented individual will seek
to protect Sanofi’s best interests through strategic contract
language negotiation and management, while also ensuring patients
have access to our innovative therapies. This leader will also
champion and embrace the integration of automation and AI-driven
solutions to enhance the contracting lifecycle, reduce
administrative burden, and drive data-informed decision making.
Additionally, driving continuous improvement of contract management
processes, and leveraging digital transformation to have broader
scalability within this function [and beyond] will be critical for
this role. This individual will bring fresh, novel thinking to PBM
and GPO contracting strategies, identifying creative solutions to
address emerging market challenges and drive a competitive

Main Responsibilities: - Lead a team responsible for negotiating
contractual language with national and regional managed care
customers and conducting analytics for select regional accounts. -
Oversee development and negotiation of Medicare Part D, Managed
Medicaid, and Commercial GPO/PBM agreements, while leveraging
expert understanding of managed care contract components including
definitions, payment terms, rebate exclusion criteria, and
product-specific rebate conditions. - Conduct financial modeling
and risk analyses for regional direct contracts. Develop strategic
recommendations based on pricing proposals for presentation to
governance committees. - Collaborate with Market Access Legal,
Account Management, Value & Access, Strategic Pricing, and Contract
Analytics teams to evaluate contracting opportunities and mitigate
risks in response to customer bid requests. - Analyze specialty
product reimbursement and utilization management criteria against
contracting objectives. - Partner with Strategic Pricing and Value
& Access teams on new product/indication launch contracting
strategies. - Partner with Contract Operations team to ensure
accurate implementation of pricing terms and rebate payments. -
Drive continuous improvement of contract management processes. -
Manage all Legal requests. - Foster team development through
strategic staffing and growth opportunities, encouraging a culture
of innovation and continuous learning. About You Professional
Skills and Competencies: - Bachelor's degree required, preferably
in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field.
MBA highly desirable. - 7 years of experience in the US
pharmaceutical industry, with emphasis on contracting, pricing, or
other areas of market access. - Exceptional interpersonal skills
with proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships
across all levels. - Strong analytical skills, adept at
interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data to drive
decision making. - ·Demonstrated leadership in coaching and
mentoring, with a track record of fostering team excellence. -
Effective communication and influencing skills, capable of aligning
