• An ASCP/Cytotechnologist will not be accepted without the SCYM or ICCE Test
• Must have ability and education to perform high-complexity laboratory testing

  • The Flow Cytometry Technologist is responsible for performing analytical cytometry examinations, quality control, instrument maintenance, testing validations, and other functions, while implementing the hospital and laboratory missions, goals, and objectives.
  • A cytotechnologist without the ASCP (SCYM) will not be considered for this need.
    • Job Requirements
    • Independent judgment and initiative required to schedule, organize, and plan work.
    • Teach medical technology students how to process specimens and answer computer related questions.
    • Responsible for care and accuracy in collection and labeling specimens.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in emergency situations including working additional hours or shifts.
    • Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and alertly for extended periods of time and under stress, to ensure against errors.
    • Above average manual dexterity.
    • Effective communication skills, use of computer systems, listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
    • Knowledge of HIS and LIS.
    • Assorted laboratory analyzers and equipment appropriate to scope of position and dependent upon current technology.

          • Additional Details
          • 3 years current experience in approved laboratory
          • Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or related science required
          • Previous travel experience preferred
          • Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
