The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based
on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental
budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses,
specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the
University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of

their fullest. The Community Content Strategist for Neighbors is
responsible for handling the print media editorial and production
process, event promotion, web content creation, and website upkeep
that will help make Neighbors a go-to source for positive news at
the intersection of Columbia University and its surrounding
communities.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Content Strategy for Columbia
News in the Office of Public Affairs (OPA) and working closely with
the AVP of Communications for Columbia News & Columbia Neighbors,
the Community Content Strategist works collaboratively across OPA -
including the Columbia News and Government and Community Affairs
(GCA) teams - and the university to create a helpful and
informative source of information for our neighbors.
The Community Content Strategist must be a discerning critical
thinker and independent self-starter who has the ability to
collaborate with people in every role across the university.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills are key
as well as the ability to proactively manage multiple projects on
deadline
