About the Role
Canon USA in Melville, NY is currently seeking a Data Scientist, a
developing professional, working towards full proficiency. This
position works across the company with all Canon business units and
departments. In this role a candidate will gather data from a
variety of internal and external sources, clean and amalgamate the
data, and use programming, math, statistical and analytical skills
to interpret data. The role includes working with sales, customer,
channel and product data to develop business insights and
predictive results to influence executive decisions. This role
helps business units and divisions understand customers and market
trends, forecasting, and works to improve internal processes
through a wide variety of methods and tools. This is a role that
requires a diverse set of skills, creative thinking and analytical
work, coding, a desire to learn and grow personal skill sets. This
position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring
you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work
from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business
need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note
that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change
from time to time based on business needs. Effective January 1,
2025, we will increase our required, scheduled in-office days for
hybrid employees to three days a week.
