Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr.
Estimator to join their team. You will play a critical role in
leading cost estimation efforts during the pre-construction phase
of new construction projects. You'll work closely with the
development, design, and project management teams to ensure
accurate project costing and financial planning, enabling seamless
transitions from conceptual design to construction.Client

satisfaction.Description
- Lead Estimation: Provide detailed and accurate estimates for
all phases of the construction process, from conceptual budgets
through final bids.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze project documents and blueprints to
develop clear and comprehensive takeoffs, and compile accurate
material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Vendor Relations: Work with subcontractors, vendors, and
suppliers to solicit and analyze bids, ensuring competitive pricing
and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, architects,
and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project budgets,
scopes of work, and schedules.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market conditions,
including pricing trends and industry developments, to ensure
estimates are up-to-date and competitive.
- Pre-construction Planning: Contribute to value engineering
exercises, project scheduling, and risk analysis to support
decision-making and optimize project outcomes.
- Document Preparation: Prepare detailed, organized estimate
packages and present them to the executive team and clients.Profile
- 7+ years of experience as an estimator, preferably within the
NYC real estate development or general contracting space.
- Deep understanding of new construction, building systems, and
current industry pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of local NYC building codes, construction
methods, and market dynamics.
- Proven experience managing and leading the estimation process
for large-scale projects ($50M+).
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift,
Sage Estimating).
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the
ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively
collaborate with internal and external teams.Job Offer
